Basildon - Pregnancy Pals & Birth Buddies

Trained and experienced volunteer peer supporters who:

• Assist parents-to-be to meet others in their community
• Listen, encourage and offer useful information for a happy and healthy pregnancy
• Build confidence to prepare for bith and becoming a parent
• Help parents-to-be communicate with professionals
• Assist new parents to make a confident start during the first 3 months post birth

Birth Buddies are for mothers who are alone or feel unsupported.  They respond to physical and emotional needs through labout and birth.

NB only available to expectant parents living in East and West Basildon

Referrals (self or from practitioners) are encouraged from early pregnancy.
